How to Draw a Reindeer Step by Step
Materials You'll Need:
- Paper
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Black marker (optional)
- Colored pencils or markers (optional)
Step 1: Sketch the Head
Start by sketching a circle for the head. Divide the circle horizontally with a curved line to form the top and bottom of the head.
Step 2: Add the Ears
On the top of the head, draw two curved lines extending upwards to create the reindeer's ears.
Step 3: Draw the Antlers
Above the ears, sketch the antlers. Start with two curved lines extending outwards from the top of the head. Add smaller branches to create the distinctive antlers.
Step 4: Add the Eyes
Within the circle for the head, draw two circles for the eyes. Fill in one of the circles to create a black pupil.
Step 5: Draw the Nose
Just below the eyes, sketch a small circle for the nose. Color it in with red or pink.
Step 6: Draw the Mouth
Draw a curved line below the nose to create the mouth. Add a small line inside the mouth for the tongue.
Step 7: Add the Body
From the bottom of the head, draw an oval shape for the body. Connect the head to the body with a curved line.
Step 8: Draw the Legs
From the bottom of the body, sketch four lines to create the reindeer's legs. Make two of the legs slightly bent to give the impression of movement.
Step 9: Add Details (Optional)
To enhance your drawing, you can add additional details like fur, shading, or a festive collar and scarf.
Step 10: Outline and Color (Optional)
Use a black marker to outline the drawing and erase any remaining pencil lines. You can then color the reindeer using colored pencils or markers.
